DESCRIPTION

Lavandín Grosso essential oil is obtained by steam distillation from the lavandula hybrida plant.

It is a hybrid specie crossing lavender and lavender. It is grown in many countries, mainly in France and Spain.

They are shrub, perennial and woody stem plants. The flowers are intense blue, and are grouped in very aromatic spikes.

This lavandula hydrida is characterized by adapting very well to arid and dry climates, and by having a very high yield in essential oil.

Its harvest takes place during its flowering normally in the months of July and August.

The essential oil extracted from this plant is mainly used in the cosmetics and perfumery industries.

Traditional medicine uses it as a remedy for relaxation and sensory stimulation although it also has anti-inflammatory and anti-pain properties.

It is also applied as an antiseptic and disinfectant and even as an insect repellent.
